EAL Level 4 Award in the Design and Verification of Electrical Installations

Course details

This qualification provides an opportunity for existing electricians to take electrical design to the next level. It will expand your knowledge and understanding of electrical installation design. This qualification covers design calculations and the application of BS 7671 and related statutory and non-statutory requirements and guidance in the safe and ergonomic design of an installation.
This is an ideal qualification for aspiring electrical supervisors, technicians, and designers.

This qualification is delivered one evening per week for 15 weeks. Learners will be able to attend the Centre to complete the assignment.

Assessment

There are two parts to the qualification:
•An EAL set centre marked assignment, involving the design of a complex electrical installation,including use of renewable technologies.
•An open-book written knowledge assessment. Permitted reference material includes BS 7671, IET Guidance Notes 1 and 3.

Please note it is recommended you have completed the Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671; and Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations, or Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations

Course cost

The cost of the course is £1100 Cost includes IET Guidance Note 1 (Selection & Erection) and all EAL registration and examination fees.
