Electric Vehicle Charging
Because of the increase in demand for electric vehicles and UK governments’ target to shift to electric cars by 2030, Beau Associates will be providing an EAL qualification.

EAL Level 3 Award in the Requirements of Installation of Electrical Vehicle charging.
This course is provided for Electricians who will be installing Electric Vehicle chargers in domestic and commercial locations. When qualified you will be able to apply for inclusion on the OZEV (The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles) register of competent Electric Vehicle Charging Installers.
Course details
During the course you will be provided with expert guidance and support covering the skills and knowledge needed to plan installation, and install EV chargers in domestic and commercial properties. You will also cover fault-finding and inspection and testing of the completed installation.
Entry requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures) plus recent CPD (for example, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations).

Or Equivalent historical qualifications.

Or Current ECS Gold Card, JIB Electrician or Approved Electrician Card.
​The learner should be competent in a range of electrical installations, including PVC Flat profile (Twin and earth) cable and Steel wire armoured (SWA) cable. Learners should be up to date with the latest 18th Edition wiring regulations.
Please note that there is no training provided in the course for the installation of these cables.
