Entry Requirements
This qualification is for students who have already achieved the EAL Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations or City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 Diploma.

Candidates must have access to a real work environment to complete the NVQ section of this qualification. It is anticipated that our candidates should be gaining experience onsite whist completing the knowledge requirements.
Course content
The mandatory units cover electrical installation design, environmental technology systems, electrical science and principles, electrical installation craft, inspection, testing, commissioning, diagnosis and correction of electrical faults.

31 weeks
Monday evenings + home study.
Some assessments will require daytime attendance.

Purpose of the qualification
To demonstrate occupational competence, learners must also complete the integrated Electrotechnical Occupational Competence Unit, which is assessed by the National Electrotechnical Training Ltd (NET) AM2.

What does this qualification cover?
This qualification comprises of the skills and knowledge required to install electrotechnical systems and equipment in buildings, structures, and the environment. The qualification is made up of knowledge units and performance units.
The units cover a wide range of topics, including environmental technology systems, overseeing and organising the work environment, planning, preparing and installing electrical systems and equipment, cables and flexible cords, inspecting, testing, commissioning, and fault diagnosis and correction.
