AM2e/AM2e1.1 Booking requirements

The AM2E is for experienced workers who are completing the Experienced Worker Assessment (EWA).

It can only be taken once you have gained the Experienced Worker Qualification – you will have to supply proof of this qualification before you can book the assessment.

Booking requirements

To book your AM2e/AM2e1.1, some mandatory evidence is required:

  1. The AM2E Full Checklist

  2. The Experienced Worker Qualification certificate from either City & Guilds (2346) or EAL (603/5982/1)*

  3. Candidate’s Learner History – Walled Garden or EAL Learner History to confirm registration and certificate claim dates. Full PDF copy to be uploaded.

  4. The front cover of the candidate’s Skills Scan that should have been completed at the point of application/registration.

  5. Copy of the verified Level 2/3 Electrotechnical Knowledge Certificate used for Skill Scan.

  6. Completed NET registration form.

  1. The AM2e/AM2e1.1 full checklist

You must make sure the correct checklist is completed for your AM2e type. If you were registered on the experienced worker qualification before 3/9/23 the AM2e checklist is required; if you were registered on the experienced worker qualification after 4/9/23 the AM2e1.1 checklist is required. This is not the date you completed the qualification; it is when your training provider registered you. You will need to contact your training provider for this information.

Click below for an example of a fully completed AM2e checklist. Every section must have a tick for knowledge and experience; all declarations must be signed and dated.

  1. The Experienced Worker Qualification Certificate

This is either the 2346 City and Guilds or 5982 EAL Experienced Worker full certificate. You cannot book your AM2e until the certificate has been fully claimed and you have a copy.

  1. Candidates' learner history

You will need to contact your training provider for your learner history document; this will show when you were registered on the Experienced Worker qualification.

If you are on the City and Guild Course, this is called your walled garden report.

If you are on the EAL course, this is called your learner history report.

  1. Skills Scan front page

The Skills Scan should have been completed when your training provider signed you up for the Experienced Worker qualification. They will need to provide the first page only of this, signed and dated by them and ticked for your correct qualifications.

  1. Copy of the verified Level 2/3 Electrotechnical Knowledge Certificate used for Skill Scan

A copy of your Level 2 or Level 3 Electrical Diploma is also required. This is your full certificate, verified by the training provider when they completed the Skills Scan, not your Experienced Worker certificate.

This must be a full certificate, not a certificate of unit credit.

The full list of accepted certificates can be found here

  1. Completed NET registration form

The NET registration form must be fully completed to send to your chosen AM2 entre.

--------

Without all of this evidence, you cannot be booked in for your AM2e/AM2e1.1. The training provider that you used for the Experienced Worker Qualification will be able to provide most of the documents for you and will need to sign off on your completed checklist.

If you are struggling to gather the required evidence, your training provider should be your first point of contact.
